About Bradford City Angling Association
The Association was founded in the 1880s as Bradford Angling Association by the merger of two public house clubs, meeting in the Globe Hotel. The name changed to Bradford City Angling Association in the 1920’s by special permission of Bradford Council.
In the late 1950s, the Association started to purchase waters and fishing rights and now own 50% of fisheries outright.
With over 30 Coarse Angling and Fly Fishing venues on river and still waters, the Association now offers affordable and accessible membership to anglers and is often touted as the ‘best value for money fishing in the North of England’.
The Association focuses on continually improving the quality of its waters both to improve the angling experience for its growing membership and for wildlife.
