Fishing commences upstream end of Roecliffe Wood up to the limit sign in the middle of Cherry Island Wood.

The access for the top of Roecliffe. There is room for 2 cars on the strimmed area. Drive east on the Bishop Monkton to Roecliffe Road, the parking area is on the left shortly after Westwick Lock Farm, OS Grid Reference SE 355 660. (If you reach the overhead power lines you have gone too far.) Follow the bridle path through the gate, passing through a further gate. At the following gate follow the rough path down through the wood. The line of the broken fence is the upper limit of our fishing.

Parking:
On the grass verge on the north side of Roecliffe village, bounded by the road, the drive at the side of the Old Chapel Cottage (postcode YO51 9LY), the hedge and the tree enclosed in the iron protective railings.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON ANY OTHER GRASS which forms part of the Village Green, or in the entrance to Winn’s Farm.

Access:
Pedestrian access between the Church and Winn’s Farm and then the public footpath to the river.
